This is the best audio recorder/transcriber I’ve come across. I used to work in a noisy warehouse and could never hear our team leader during morning meetings. Using this, I was able to catch all the words even with the surrounding noise. Also great with non-English languages. It does what it’s supposed to do- simple as that.

I use shortcuts a lot and the Short Run app has quickly become almost indispensable. I especially like the ability to run shortcuts by way of quick keys and application-specific shortcuts. It’s really good and smooth, and has a colour picker which I very much needed for one of my shortcuts. One thing though, when you go in the app to do some actions, it shows the menu for a second then goes to the action you want to do.

I just wish you could convert to more than just HEIC. The Image Converter app (a competitor also on the App Store) which does do multiple formats isn’t as clean as this app. It only does 1 image at a time and you can’t tell it where to send the converted images - you have to drag them from the app into the folder you want.

I really appreciate how easy the UI is to update the widget text, especially on the Apple Watch app. It only takes a few taps and the interface is designed in a way that actually makes sense. I’m not a big fan of doing reviews, but this actions app is fundamental to making solid automations in the shortcuts app. I use it to check if media is playing and to connect to certain WiFi. Now when I enter my house from a walk or car ride, my audio automatically moves over to my speakers.

Pretty much the only option if you don’t want to use a cloud service. AME outputs terrible gifs as does Photoshop. This is purpose built for gifs, produces high quality, low size outputs and is easy and free. What’s not to love?

Was uploading thousands of files to Smart Sheets only to find out SS doesn’t recognize heic format. Quickly downloaded this app and voila! In less than 30 seconds all of my pics were converted to jpeg! Excellent App!

This does a great job with transcription. I use it daily for my creative writing. It works much better if you use audacity to clean up the background noice then truncate silence to get rid of large gaps between speech, if you have any. Other than that, it’s awesome. Recommended

I had a different menu bar calendar that broke when I updated to Sonoma. This app works great so far. My only suggestion would be to pull "Settings" out from the "hide nonessential menu items", so you can still hide most stuff, but still access the settings without having to remember the shortcut. This app is absolutely brilliant. It is exactly what macos needed all along. This dev took care of it. I especially love the full-screen notification. Configurable calendars and multiple settings make this really easy to use. I'm no expert, but the user interface makes it feel like it is an apple product!

cut & paste formatted text has got to be one of the worst default settings of all time. Used another app as a workaround for this problem for years & years, but it hasn't been updated since 2018. When poking around found this and got it /immediately./ I thank you thank you thank you.

I love how simple this app is. Is so much easy then opeing a calender app when you can just open from the menu. Though it stop working with the sonoma beta is this on my end or is it just not ready for sonoma yet?

Pretty fast and reliable. However it does lack the ability to hold contextual conversation, so you’ll have to rephrase and re-ask the question if you want a more concise answer than what’s given. It’s probably necessary given the monetizing model of this app, so it’s a legitimate trade off which the user should keep in mind.

My menu bar is now so much easier to read. I can group menu items, and then split them with a deliinator (and get to choose what the deliniator looks like). Perfect. Highly recommended.

I love this little app

I am a designer that works with a lot of text in multiple formats. I spend half my life copying and pasting text from one place to another. Some more serious tools like Adobe Suite have great methodes for handling pasted text, but other places where I need to place and design text are not so helpful, and for those instances, this app is a god send.

Idk how to live without this app

I commonly need to move documents around and share them between computers. Without this app I'd have to waste my time messing around in a terminal. Another app that feels so simple but powerful that it's got me questioning why this isn't the default behaviour for macOS.

After Apple removed the ability to see time remaining on battery, I felt my Macbook Pro was missing a simple feature that should be included on product that demands such an investment. I found Battery Indicator to be a more than adequate replacement.

Got Dato because I missed Fantastical's menubar calendar but refuse to pay $60 a year subscription. Dato is nicely designed, both from an Apple aesthetics and from a UI standpoint. Just noticed the " " allows me to quickly make a calendar entry, how'd I miss this before? Love it.

Really nice app. Does 'out of the box' what it takes me a long time to set up on other text editors. My only improvement would be a choice of text colours – in particular I like to set up text editors as green text on a dark screen, old terminal style.

As far as a decent phot blurring style of wallpaper system app, this is by far the best one I’ve come across - and it’s 100% free. Big fan of the developer - he’s very talented and puts his heart and soul in his work. I’ve only used Bleaur a few times but it gets the job done hands down no arguments or complaining.

You can run shortcuts

Is the app I was looking for, it’s easy and simple and it can run shortcuts. I just would like that it doesn’t open the app by itself and then open shortcuts , it will be nice to do this process on the background. Anyway I think it’s because apple’s limitations, and maybe it can be correct in the future. Anyway, this app is awesome 👏🏽

It's really easy to capture colours that appear on my mac. It's really easy to open the app from the top of the menu. The colour on screen can be selected with the select tool. Wonderful. I would really recommed this.
