This policy is about this website, the feedback form, and email support. Each app has its own privacy policy, linked on the page of the app.

Who is responsible

I am Sindre Sorhus, an indie developer in Norway, and I am responsible for the data in this policy. You can reach me through the contact page or at [email protected].

What I use and what each service gets

  • GitHub Pages hosts the website. When you visit it, GitHub logs your IP address for security. See the privacy statement of GitHub.
  • Cloudflare sits in front of the website and delivers it to you. It gets your IP address and the details of each request, and your browser can send it reports about network errors. See the privacy policy of Cloudflare.
  • GoatCounter counts visits to the pages, without cookies. It stores the counts, not the data they are made from, like your IP address. See the privacy policy of GoatCounter.
  • Formcarry receives what you send with the feedback form: your message, your email, and the files you attach. It sends them to my email. See the privacy policy of Formcarry.
  • Gmail is my email. Your messages and my replies are kept there.
  • Gumroad sells some of my apps. When you buy one there, Gumroad shares your email and the details of the purchase with me as the seller. See the privacy policy of Gumroad.

A few pages also load data or images from other services in your browser, like the now page, which loads my latest posts from Bluesky and my latest commits from GitHub. These services get your IP address when your browser loads them.

Why

I use the data to run the website and keep it safe, to know which pages people read, to answer your messages, and to help you with the apps you bought. I do this because you ask for it, like when you send a message or buy an app, or because it is needed to run the website. I do not sell your data, and I do not use it for ads.

How long

I keep your messages as long as needed to help you, and delete them when you ask. The services above keep their logs for the time in their own policies.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data I have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Contact me to ask.
